The Registro - "The Old 300"
The Texas General Land Office is home to The Registro that holds the administrative records related to land grants issued to Austin’s original settlers – “The Old 300.” The priceless manuscript contains field notes, sketches and land grants handwritten in by Samuel May Williams, the Colony’s secretary. The first land title issued was for a location for his first urban center – San Felipe de Austin. The faint image of the Cover Page is restored to incredible clarity.
